I used to know a bus driver with a Ph.D. in literature. Happy as a clam both with his job and his knowledge which he got to share with regulars who enjoyed the discussions. It was not a big city.

At my college, logic was taught as part of the philosophy dept.

Mathematical logic is one of those esoteric subjects that unexpectedly led to computers (von Neumann, Godel, Turing, Church), much to the disgust of pure mathematicians.

I was a Class 1 HGV Driver… with a BA in Technology and Sociology… At the same yard I worked from there were at least two other divers with a BA and an MA…
