    Leave them on the ground. they provide cover for little critters and compost to feed the tree and grass for next year.

    This looks like my back yard. My property abuts some conservation land and we seem to have gotten all the leaves.

    Yes, I used the word, “abut”. Now stop giggling.

    Most tree leaves are too acidic for grass. If you’re going to go that route, plan on a heavy dose of lime, too. Which, incidentally, will also help speed leaf decomposition.
