Thanks, Susansunshine, I was wondering about that. Same for Zen Cowfield and Royal Hairless Mickhound, I suppose. Not complaining at all, brilliantly creative. Had my plush Opus for many years…treasured…
A few modifications to a known painting and, presto, we have the Knitting of an Opus Plush, fortified by innumerable teacups of Old Hickory. Seems about right.
The missing caption:Granny Fannie Croup puts the finishing touches on the first Plushie Opus created since 1986. When production cranks up in our Minnesota sweat shop, she promises at least three a week. We have a dozen in hand, we’ll let you Bloomers know..right after we grab the first ones for ourselves. Hopefully, weeks away. —Mgmt,https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1734865763210836&substory_index=0&id=108793262484769

Excellent rendering of the various textures. The stuffed Opus looks as though it is really made of cloth.

I love Berkeley Breathed’s artwork, and I think he’s a brilliant cartoonist.
That said, this isn’t all his own original work….
A little internet searching turned up the painting to which he seems to have added his inimitable touches….

I’ve owned one for many years. He sits next to Merry Chris Moose! I don’t care what you think about it either.
