I had my tonsils out when I was very young (kindergarten maybe?) Back then that was an overnight hospital stay. A nurse came in and was very friendly (though I didn’t get ginger ale and ice cream until afterwards), then she had me roll over, which I naively did, she said “Here’s your little oucher!” and stabbed me in the butt!
