I’m so old, I remember when Doonesbury was actually funny.

They say they want “family”, but the second you show two characters starting a family, they get all up in arms

That reader (chosen at random), with that manly, chiseled profile, looks vaguely familiar…

I remember thinking when Bloom County first came out I thought it might be a side project of Trudeau’s using a pseudonym because he took a long hiatus from Doonesbury at about that time. Took me a couple of years to be convinced the Berkeley was a real person.

Randomly chosen? Ha! That “hidden identity” guy is a plant by the editors to serve as a scapegoat (rather, scapepenguin) in promoting their own viewpoint….

Doonesbury doesn’t even qualify as adult humor, much less family.
