I have always had yappy little dogs during my 20+ years in this house. Before Finnegan, I had 3 chihuahuas. A doorbell would just be redundant. Now Finn alone does just as good a job. No one can get within 10 feet of the property without him letting us know.
Yes! Back 30+ years ago, I was renting a house from a dentist who had his practice in the other half of the house. One night, someone broke into his office and stole a safe, apparently thinking there were drugs in it. After that, he had an alarm installed, but also suggested I adopt a dog if I wanted to, figuring a barking dog would make a potential burglar think twice, and also offer my family some peace of mind. That’s when I adopted my Mykei, a Smooth hair fox terrier.
