Huey: A child, pre-adolescent, forced into labor by local authorities. Incredibly long hours, sweltering, dangerous working conditions, a miserable existence with little hope of bettering one's lot in life... ...All for virtually no compensation... You know, Nike was in a lot of trouble with Garry Trudeau because of this kind of thing!! Granddad: Shut up and mow the lawn, boy! And who's Garry Trudeau?!
Cartoonist Gary Trudeau, for example, has repeatedly poked pointed humor at Nike (for their labor pracices) in his Doonesbury cartoon. And film maker Michael Moore targeted Nike in his new film, “The Big One.” May 13, 1998(link)
