Principal: John, the boy is smarter than you. We were going to give him your job. John: Really?! Principal: I'm joking John. Well, joking about the job, sorta. But he is definitely smarter than you. John: Thanks.
Some of my teachers handled it well and encouraged and mentored me. One was turned on by it and tried to seduce me, pity I didn’t return her interest, she was cute. Most felt threatened and could not deal with it and I had to deal with thinly masked hostility and passive-aggressive horse-hockey until I graduated.
