Michael Jackson had some pipes – but so do hundreds of thousands of other folks. As a songwriter, he was a talented pop hack – as are tens of thousands of others (and we really don’t need them, anyway). He could dance – but all those folks in the chorus line behind him were doing the exact same thing – and “his” moves came from his choreographer. But we, as a world, needed Michael Jackson!!
I mean, someone’s got to make Little Richard look normal, right?
