The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder for January 21, 2025
Transcript:
TV: And in other news - do not ask questions about the president. Do not ask questions about the war. Do what we say. We are your only defense against the evil people of the world. You are getting veeery sleepy. Buy Nikes... Huey: Hey, that's what it all sounds like to me.

You’re spot on, kid. Turn it off. You’ll feel better.

A few days ago, I suggested that McGruder come out of retirement for the next four years. However, it does appear that there is enough material to recycle, that will be relevant for the next four years. Substitute a Bible for Nikes.

Typical government. Always trying to take the cowards way out.

Today, it is not a matter of “that’s what it sounds like.” That is what is actually being said (except maybe the buy Nikes bit).

Pardons for you and you oh can’t forget you, Liz. What a absolute disgrace Biden and his whole vapid term has been. Joe may have killed the Democrat Party with that exit yesterday, I mean over 8,000?!!!

Just think: the same people are STILL running the Democratic Party, 25 years later. They didn’t do enough during the Bush years, didn’t do enough during the Obama years, and definitely never met the challenge of trump’s first term. That old saying about failing to learn from the lessons of history goes here, except that WE are doomed to repeat their lack of learning, not them.
The only things the Democratic Party “learned” over the last 25 years are that it’s always the Left’s fault they lost, and going even further right wing is the only thing to do after losing a national election. One day it’d be nice if they could learn that neither of those things has ever worked, but they willingly pretend to not understand.
