Once saw a middle-aged guy and tween girl out in a restaurant. Assumed divorced dan on a visitation with daughter. They spent the entire evening diddling their phones and I don’t think they were texting each other.
I work in hotels and am always amazed when I see families spending the holiday together but then the whole family is glued to the screen for entire meals.

Eldest daughter has a friend who kept texting all the time. Finally, every time she picked up her phone, her husband would get up and walk away.
