Is sentencing really up to them?

How about a zillion years or life, whichever comes first.

For all intents and purposes, that’s effectively what some American sentences are.

If it were Judge Judy, she’d say, “Not in my courtroom.”

Could have been worse. Could have been life.

I’ve told you a gazillion times… :D

Can it at least be served concurrently?

Not being all that familiar with the legal system, I think the most a person can get is life plus 1 day.

…but sometimes, you’d really LIKE to…

After he dies they prop him up in the corner until his sentence is over.

How about “bazillion”? “Gazillion?”

Sure you can, and the prisoner does his her best for as long as they live.

No worse than several life sentences.

In essence you can, just not legally in time.

I don’t care whether they can or not, I just want to know what the defendant did.
