1. After doing extensive research on how to save a cat on the tree by referring multiple sources, Bozo finally finds the best way to save the cat. See, folks? This is why books are always useful.
Umbrella guy is always a bystander. He never gets into the action unless he’s into sole action of his own in the background. But from the umbrella guy’s perspective, what’s happening in our foreground is his background. If umbrella guy ever had a comic of his own, then Bozo would be seen in the background and we’d be wondering what’s that little thug like fellow who typically appears in the background is up to and why is he even seen around. It’s all about perspective, folks.
2. Nice to know that Bozo’s an army veteran who fells the enemy plane.
But waitsaminute, what’s that umbrella guy doing in that picture? Aha. Now I is sure that he’s a spy who’s been following around Bozo. What we don’t knows is to which side he’s spying for, or whether he’s a double agent. Forget all that perspective things I said earlier. He’s an umbrella spy guy!
3. Aha, finally Bozo is on to the umbrella spy guy and is tracking him down in the mountains. Go get him, Bozo!
I like GENT’s Comments about Bozo being a WW II Veteran and Umbrella Guy being a spy. He was probably an American Spy named Guy, Umbrella Guy. One of those Secret Agents for OZOB.

I didn’t know there were 18 different books on getting kittens out of trees, but Bozo is a good guy to take the time and effort.

Bozo’s a tiny, slightly less violent Everett True on occasion, isn’t he?

The old adage concerning cats in trees “Nary a bone in the boughs” reminds that the cat will eventually make it back to the ground on its own.
