There is a reason for that. If the governor steps in and halts the execution (after the IV is started but before the actual lethal drugs are administered, you wouldn’t want an infection to occur.
My 2013 Ford went 100,000 miles without needing a single repair, just scheduled service. I bought another one and it’s up to 72,000 and has not needed repair. Your opinion of American cars is about 20 years old. You shouldn’t hate America so much.
I have often wondered how the salesmen would react if I said I wanted a Bushman XL but without all the electronics.Give me a stereo FM radio and I’m happy. Some sharp corners and fins would be nice too. ;)
That is so that IF the call from the Governor to stay the execution comes in AFTER the needle is implanted but BEFORE the actual injection takes place the subject would not be unduly exposed to a potential infection.
Fifteen cents per wipe for the prevention versus an average infection treatment cost of over $150.00, so it actually makes sense.

Same bureaucratic lunacy that requires the rocket engines of nuclear tipped ICBM to burn ‘environmentally friendly’ fuel.

The biggest problem with American cars is that they put too much engineering and marketing effort into CUP HOLDERS!
What does that say about US?

I think that code also requires a safety net be installed below the “work area”. Wouldn’t want someone hurt if they should fall.

Yeah, that wouldn’t be a bad car if it were stripped of those literal bells and whistles.
But what about the beloved ’56 Plymouth? Has it finally died dead fish dead?

Strange, twisted sense, but sense.
