I wish they would stop painting the lines so close that cars can barely fit. When everybody is driving SUVs, trucks and vans, there is barely enough room to open any doors, even when everybody is perfectly centered in their parking spots.
A decade or so ago, I started seeing “compact only” sections of parking lots. Today, it appears that they’ve expanded the concept to the entire lot, as if this will convince people to buy smaller cars. It doesn’t. It just makes everybody angry and creates more door dings because it’s impossible to leave enough room without parking over the lines.
