Not one brain cell between the two of them! But then, Irwin is a happy soul and Broomie is 1,500 – maybe they don’t need any!

I agree with Irwin…a lot of newspapers these days qualify for being nothing more than birdcage filler…

We got a deal on the Sunday only edition of the paper. We take the coupons out and throw the paper in a pile for the bird’s cage. I haven’t read it once.

Nerwin, when your teachers recommended home schooling this is what they meant, so you better watch out.

I much prefer newspapers and books. As grey said, you can’t swat a fly with a computer. You can’t wrap packages with a computer, and when I need to glue something and make sure it sticks, Hubby gets annoyed if I try to sit the computer on top of it. To be perfectly honest, the computer is just shy of totally useless when it comes to finding a phone number. If I’m not sure of the spelling I can run my finger down the page and locate it, but WhitePages.com doesn’t do that. And last time I tried looking for a dermatologist, they showed me listings for a veterinarian and a paint store!

My local paper has become thin because they are only printing the amount of pages advertising is bringing in so they are breaking even. With everything closed, that’s not much. I just renewed my subscription for the year. Local newspapers rule!

Well, I’m sure Gaylord still reads the newspaper.

I still buy a paper occasionally, to drain kitchen grease.

Is Gaylord the very smart bird that Irwin knows?

Would Irwin describe Gaylord as a “very smart bird”?

    Heck, would Nerwin?
