I was ready to upgrade to a new fangled pickup truck, but current prices have me thinking fixing up my near 30 year old one might be a better, more affordable idea.

Just got a new car with all the latest techie doo-dads. Will need a half dozen continuing education credits to operate it. When the owners manual (library) is in the glove compartment, there’s no room for anything g else.

The crank is there to provide purpose to the life of that cranky old woman.

Be careful, Broomie. Those old crank starters would sometimes kickback leading to surprise broken wrists.

It’s not cranky, it’s just misunderstood.

I’d recommend a Cup Holder too.

When I was young, here in Cochabamba, Bolivia, some 50 years ago or so, the buses had to be cranked that way. The bus driver had an assistant, basically a child/youth (you know, cheap labor…), and one of their jobs was to crank the bus … and then, when it started, quickly jump sideways, so the bus could start moving. Then they jumped onto the moving bus.
