Most of our dogs really enjoyed going for a drive. The English Mastiff didn’t as much as the Rottweilers.

When I take mine in the car, she just lies down in the front seat and waits patiently. I think she enjoys going to the hospital or even other places, but the ride part is just like it is to us – a means to an end. She doesn’t try to see out the windows. She prefers I pet her during the drive. When she was in the process of becoming a champion hunter she rode in a crate in the back of a pickup truck and went all over the country. Maybe that took the fun out of it after a while. She’s not talking.

My Boy (Avatar) never minded going to the Vet’s, just as long as I was with him ….. also in the 15 years that he was with me, he never had any reason to go except for Rabi shots …… the other shots, I gave him when needed (had kennel lic) ……. great memories …… :)
