Back when I was a kid we had Siamese cats, which were kind of rare back then. My dad decided we’d breed them and sell the kittens, not for a big profit but because he liked the idea of kittens. (We sold them for $5 each and my dad kept one from each litter.) Anyway, it always made me sad when the kittens started going away to new homes—one at a time. I cried because they would never see their mommy, daddy, brothers or sisters again.
