It doesn’t handle the weight of a tiger too well….

It certainly is not dad’s hammock now.

Can’t we all just learn to share.

Tail is hanging through the net in the third penel!

It handles the weight of the tiger, but not with Calvin too!

I think it’s time to consult the Hammock Man.

Dad would never believe it’s because Hobbes weighs too much, stuffed animals don’t weigh much at all.

I don’t think it was the weight that caused the sag…it was the wrestling with Hobbes.

But I think we need to blame Dad for purchasing a low quality hammock. I certainly wouldn’t buy a fish net hammock.

Dad needs to tighten up the strings.

C&H looks like they had fun. Dad got left out of the fun with a stretched out hammock.

Time to return it again….you know its a crummy hammock when it cant handle the weight of an imaginary tiger

Next time get a canvas hammock instead of a net one.

If you have a Calvin why would you buy a quality hammock? Do you really think it would last longer????

Hammocks, after centuries of being the brunt of too many bad jokes and funny accidents (see above) were finally outlawed by OSHA in 1987.

@Charlie, my favorite camping trip is backpacking with dehydrated food, sterno, and a nylon hammock. The hammock rolls up and fits in your pocket. You hike. When you’re hungry, find a stream, boil water, make stew with dehydrated veggies and meat, when boiled water is cool, put in canteen. Tie hammock between two trees and go to sleep. (There is also a plastic rain sheet to go over hammock in case of rain. Some areas may require mosquito netting.) Repeat until the cares of civilization are washed away, or until you start wishing for a shower.

I like the sway of a hammock, almost like being on a boat.

Come on - dad’s entitled to a day off after working to support the family.

The hammock should be able to carry a kid and a stuffed tiger. But it sags which means that much more weight was in it.

Hobbes carries more weight that a little boy’s imagination! Hobbes is real!

I too am like Stuart. Hammock sleeping is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. As long as you can keep the kids out of them, or at the least, show them how they were meant to be used.
