Flu time is over, time for adventures yet undiscovered. How about shrinking down to the size of an atom and taking a submarine through the nasal canal.

Apparently Calvin got too close. Hobbes is a tiger after all! I hope he doesn’t stir up something again. Hobbes is acting more like your “stuffed shirt” Lions.
I hope the “get well” has come to pass so you all can fully enjoy Thanksgiving Day even if you don’t observe it as we do in the USA .
The worldy truth .. You can understand reality only on your worst days ..and those who stand by you by then are the people you can count on who help you get by to the good days ..
Thanks to mom .. thanks to all such people .. THANKSS to you too Hobbes!!!
Hobbes you ungreatful friend have sympathy for Calvin for being sick.
Have a bountyful Thanks Giving everyone. Ours is coming shortly.
News reports Space Shuttle will be seen here in Kansas this evening and we have good weather.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! My step-sisters and myself were just cleaning out our parents house getting ready to put it on the market. It was a very sentimental time for us. My Mom had put aside some of the stuff from my childhood with her and my Dad in the crydenza in which everything smelled like cedar. My step-sisters found stuff their Dad kept for them too all over since he was the last to leave us. It was like Christmas as we opened every drawer, opened every cabinet, and crawled into every corner. We laughed and cried but mostly we told each other stories as we found each piece from our childhood. This was hard but alot of fun too. Our families had been friends for many years and when they lost their spouses they found companionship in each other which turned into love and then marriage. It felt like they were all back together again with us in this old house again. It was one of the best Thanksgivings gifts we could have gotten!
Dino-1, I, too, enjoyed your story, as did Carmy. I went through much the same thing with my sister and step siblings in November of 1994. An unforgettable mixture of sad and happy times shared and remembered on a day we will always hold dear to our hearts. Thank you for helping me remember this 15 years later.
@Dino1: Thx dino for sharing hte story. Reminded me of hte day I helped dispose of my girl friend’s (castaway) belongings and clear out her apartment -all alone. Had been pretty much the same bittersweet experience remembering all the love and good times we shared in that apartment.
Dino-1, I hope that story made your Thanksgiving as pleasurable as it did mine. It made me remember when I had to go with my parents to clean out my grandmothers house after we put her in a nursing home. She had kept so many keepsakes of her grandchildren. I found my old rocking horse my grandfather carved for me, an old doll I thought I had lost (apparently she put it away for me until the next time I came over but forgot to take it out again) and several of her old diaries from when she was a girl my age. I’m still reading through them and I can’t believe how similar we sound. Thank you for allowing me to remember her and how much I valued who she was, Dino, I appreciate it more then my literary abilities could describe.

Poor little kid? Ha! Poor little Mom! I’m on Dad’s side, tell Mom Calvin needs her, and roll over and go to sleep.

I guess Calvin should be thankful for his mom.

I don’t want to read any more comments to the effect that Mom doesn’t care about Calvin. This is obviously proof to the contrary.
Happy Thanksgiving to All.

Pretty subversive to re-run a “vomit” strip at Thanksgiving …

Mom cares more for him than Hobbes? I thought it was Thanksgiving not April Fool’s day. Go sleep in another room, Hobbes!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I guess Hobbes agrees with that internet sentiment:
When you are sad - I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry idiot who made you sad.
When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever you are choking on.
When you smile - I will know you are plotting something that i must be involved in.
When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
When you are sick - stay the hell away from me until you are well; I dont want what you have.
This is my oath… i pledge it to the end. Why, you may ask? ‘Cuz you are my friend.
