Less talk, more action!

Hobbes got sick of Calvin’s babbling.

Everybody’s a critic.

Calvin, the “ultimate winter weapon” is only good if you actually use it.

Impeccable aim Hobbes. You have taken the seduction wave of art to logical ending.

Ouch, that had to hurt! Anool, I like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly reference, and it’s very true in Calvin’s case too.

And it took Calvin’s mittens right off his hands. Nice shot Hobbes!

kab2rb: I’m glad you enjoy my stories. My granddaughter can’t wait to see the new strips with me when she comes to our house. She loves to hear the stories that I write and especially when I write one about her.

There’s always one kid that’s sitting there lost in making the perfect snowball. It’s usually the kid too that you count on to cover you while you refresh your supply of snowballs and you end up being just pelted by the other team.

Hobbes, you might have saved someone (Susie?) from being pelted by a lethal snowball!

Once again, suitability trumps perfection.

so embodied by his work….he forgot his purpose.

Art has it’s place, but it isn’t on the battlefield.

I would have gone for… The male one is always found in yellow snow.

Calvin the genius boy who can argue with the best in the field the perfect aerdoynamicf properties of different mixtures of slush, ice, powder….yet it can´t come up with the solution to “11-3=…..”

in a way , this was germany’s method of war-making in the 40’s— they made a smaller number of first class , superb, state of the art submarines, tanks, airplanes and even missiles ….but the U.S. simply made cheaper weapons in far greater numbers

jajajaja, somehow this strip reminded of that “Last Action Hero” movie where the kid (don’t remember his name), says that the bad guys talk too much when they have the good guy at his mercy, :-)

When it comes to snow balls you cant trust your brother sister even your mother may shoot you an easy one. So you really have to watch Hobbes or Susie

Don’t forget the Soviets–even more tanks, of even lower quality. The Germans cut their armor plates, ground down rough edges, welded, polished, painted, and so on. The Americans cut the plates with a band saw–rougher, but still serviceable. The Russians used Arc welders to cut, and the edges showed it.

“The perfect is the enemy of the good.”

I thought of an example much closer to home: Afghanistan (both for the Soviets and for us presently).

So if Hobbes is really only in Calvin’s imagination then…who really threw the snowball? Was this a case of snowball suicide?

That wasn’t fair Hobbes. Calvin had crafted his snowball with all his skill. He should have been given the first chance to throw it.

All that matters in a snowball, is if it hits you first.

Calvin, if you snooze … you lose! That’s when you become the one who gets hit with a snowball first instead of it being the other way around!!!!!
