We built ramps, rather high ones, to “fly” our bikes off from…the girls would stand and watch to see who was courageous…otherwise known as stupid.

If I had been a better child, my grandmother would have let me listen to her “Live at Leeds” album. Glad to see you are old enough to have attended.

Actually I’m too young to remember flight attendants (stewardesses in your time Dogsniff) serve a meal in flight.

reminds me of some Delta flights I took years ago.

JohnnyDiego,I had one of those in San Francisco. It did have brakes but they only stopped you if you were going fairly slowly already. I removed the springs that kept it from being steered easily and allowed the brakes to work a little better. It’s amazing I lived through those days in good shape!

Hobbes, your insurance policy is inadeqate. Especially if you chose Calvin as your beneficiary. I’ve heard of Radio Flyers (had one in my childhood) but I could never get it to do what Calvin does. Maybe it’s that I had fears. Wonder if they still make ‘em. I’m older now with almost no fears.

I’ve always heard that any landing you can walk away from is a good landing !Even if you have to do it on all fours !

Oh, for the days when soda came in glass bottles! My kids will never know the joy.

The trust these two share is beautiful. That is the kind of trust I was lucky enough to share with Kizzy whose smiling face serves as my avatar. With her I felt safe traveling the back roads and mountain trails on both side of our borders. I hope you have that level of trust in your life.

Yes an in flight snack is good,but make sure you got a good airline.

Those old Radio Flyer wagons were pretty tough. The bodies were solid steel, as were the wheels, with only the tread being rubber. Most of the children’s wagons sold today are made of plastic, and would not stand up to a trip down Calvin’s Mountain.

Hmmm…. a bit like a Hong Kong landing…. only safer :)

May we now use approved portable electronic devices, a listing of which appears in the back of the in-flight magazine?

No insurance company would ever in their right minds insure Calvin.
