@GretchensMom:Regarding your avatar problem, I looked at your other comments on this from other strips, and you mentioned that you were using Firefox and downloading images from the Web by right-clicking and then using “Save Link as.” You need to be using “Save Image As”, not “Save Link As.”If you still can’t get the Web images to work when you use “Save Image As”, you could try uploading a photo from a camera that you know is a JPG file, as long as the file size is less than 2 MB.Also see my suggestion last night, about trying a different computer, in case your Web browser software is corrupted.Good luck, and I hope this helps.

All kids (and tigers) climb trees or at least they should. It’s better than sitting around playing video games all day.

<< SUSAN NEWMAN wrote: “Calvin is right; moms DO spoil everything, just like when I was a kid.” >>Hi SusanI’m sorry to hear that, but thanks for mentioning it, because I had wondered whether some of your previous comments about Calvin’s Mom might have been influenced by your own childhood.Calvin and Hobbes brings back strong memories of childhood for all of us, and I think we all read it a little differently, depending on how good or bad our experience was, as well as how strict or lenient our parents were. Reading these strips can be a very interesting exercise since it causes us to reflect upon the past, but it can also be difficult at times.

Calvin’s parents need to get him a used jungle gym to climb around on. I can’t deal with climbing on ladders myself – my sense of balance isn’t up to that sort of thing…

Ahh, the time tested tactic of agreeing with someone to bolster ones position, as you’ve accused others of in the past. Well done hobbes (the impostor). Must we ALL see things as you do, or is there room here for personal opinion?
