I love the patience of Hobbes!!

Calvin, You have a LOT and I mean A LOT of years ahead of you. Life can be good, Life can be bad, Life can be happy, Life can be sad.

You get my drift… But Hobbes is always there for you. He’s your best friend and cuddle companion.

I’d like to see his stuffed animal bring food to Calvin while he sits on the couch.

So many do exactly this. Sit around waiting for meaning and happiness to come to them. In reality, decide was it meaningful (choose well!) and get busy doing it…happiness is a consequence of that. Happiness is like that butterfly that flits around you, then settles onto your shoulder, while you are doing something else.

I once got a fortune cookie message that said life will shower you with happiness.

The shower will come when Hobbes dumps an entire bowl (included with milk, of course) of sugar frosted sugar bombs on Calvin’s head….the additional denoument will happen when his mother checks out the chair Calvin was sitting in…..

… But first, an Obama phone.
