hobbes, with all the scrapes you have gotten into, it is surprising this is the first time you are getting stitches

Considering how Calvin reacted at the Dr.’s office, he sure has little sympathy for Hobbes.

It would be futile if she did.

My mom has mended plenty of teddy bears, not sure about tigers, (or even the local Leopard.) None of them ever asked for anaesthesia…

Fear of surgery, I can understand this, I’d need a big anaesthesia before every stitch! – Has Hobbes eaten too much for bursting? Or he had a great fight with Calvin!!

Once the doctor didn’t continue his surgery on me, because I had such a fear and begged so much, he said, he couldn’t continue it under this circumstances!!

I always figured Hobbes was as tough as a hockey player and didn’t need anesthetic.

A kiss from Susie Derkins is all the anaesthetic Hobbes needs.

She never scrubbs up or disinfects the wound site either!

Hobbes, maybe you’ll get a smooch when it’s over!

Once my Hello Kitty’s bow came off, so she understands Hobbes. Maybe Calvin saves all the laughing gas for the strip he says he wants to always be euphoric , ’cause that would work.
