Because he wants to be with her, that’s why.

It seems like Susie doesn’t realize that this is Hobbes. She’s seen Calvin with him enough times that she knows his name and should recognize him.

I could never understand why girls liked to have tea parties when they could have played cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers, blown things up, played kill-the-man-with-the-ball, and all the other things we were lucky to survive in our childhood!
