In the next panel, Calvin’s parents get a phone call from the neighbor about a soaking wet kid running around naked.

Good comic. Calvin bonding with nature.

Oh to be a kid again.

Not really skinny dipping at all. The clothes cling, bill fold gets wet and it gets cold fast!

It smells fresh, clean and washed!!

Being a kid is so much fun, I miss those days

Many advantages to being a tiger.

When I was that age, my dad and I would come home soaked to the skin, or looking like we had been in a mud rally. My mother would shake her head and say, “When these two go out, I never know what condition they’ll be in when they come back.” Oh, how I miss that.

This story arc and ensuing comments bring back so many great experiences from my youth.

That’s why I don’t either….

Now Calvin and Hobbes smell like worms.

Fun fact: The original strip (http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/1987/5/10) had an artwork error. In the “throwaway box,” the red from Calvin’s shirt is nowhere to be found.

At the risk of being told that I’m a “disgusting young lady” I hate underwear as well. If I had the choice not to wear it, I wouldn’t. Ugh.
