I received the following message from LeadingEdge. I posted it late yesterday, and for those who may not have read it, I’m posting it again:
“Dear fellow Calvin & Hobbes lovers and commenters. Because of my sudden banishment by GoComics (without any warning), I am saddened that I will no longer be able to fellowship with you. It was a blast while it lasted. I’ll focus the new found time at 2 a.m. to pursue other adventures. I wish everyone well, live long and prosper.
I almost never commented, but I loved reading everyone else’s. @Be This Guy, @The Calvinosaurus That Calvin Wanted To Discover, @Bluram, @Jonathanpetermason, @Liverlips Mccracken, @Laughing, @Himbear.
With practice you can be good at it. I’ve been practicing origami since I was 8 and believe me some models didn’t come out right the first time I tried it.
Oh Bill… That model plane is something a kid would find to be the perfect thing to go with blowing up with firecrackers! That’s what I’d do in those long ago days…

That’s right Calvin, if at first you don’t succeed, try and fail again.

I remember building models as a kid (long, long ago). It was a lot of fun, but I wasn’t the best at it.

Calvin could use hot melt glue instead, but then he’d probably burn himself.

Do plastic models still need airplane glue? I thought it was too dangerous for kids.

“..lots of rigging..” I’m sure Calvin will be so very patient with all that tiny rigging.

I built models in my youth. I built the Millennium Falcon and used a wood burning wand to give it battle damage.
