Calvin doesn’t want to wait ten more years, Hobbes, so he could use the parents’ car to drive to Mars after obtaining his driving license… Earth could be more polluted by then.
I sometimes offer to send my kids to space on the Ralph Kramden Express. (for those of you not familiar with The Honeymooners-https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=the+honeymooners+bang+zoom+to+the+moon&view=detail&mid=45F537D861A37B2BF63E45F537D861A37B2BF63E&FORM=VIRE)
Honest to goodness once-upon-a-time quote by Dan Quayle (no kidding; he REALLY said this): “Mars is essentially in the same orbit… Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe.”
I miss Leading Edge and the daily custom comics. Edge, if by chance you’re still reading here, I messaged GoComics to request your revival on the site, but no luck. I’m thinking of you.

Don’t worry, Hobbes. This wagon was made by a 17 year old kid named Elon Musk.

Well, you don’t have to go to the real Mars. Just go to the one that gets drawn for you!

Just don’t try to take a deep breath once you get to Mars.
davetb1956 about 6 years ago
Calvin, are you going to use a ski jump to get there? Using the help of Spaceman Spiff would make more sense.

The quickest way is by reading a book.
