Only thing standing between boarding school and Calvin is Mom.

Now I wonder how the canned tuna that Hobbes eats feel about it.

Gotta love how Hobbes is like “wow!” whenever he listens to Calvin.

In panel #2 mom was sarcastic, I suppose.

I think Calvin’s Dad has a valid point when you consider the outcome he experienced.

I like Hobbes’s final remark! :D

Reminding a tiger about everyone becoming food does not seem like a wise move.

We go back to earth, become food for others again and perhaps we come again some years later?

Or the young males try to kill the old male…

I think it’s good that everyone becomes food

Not what you want to hear from a tiger when you’re out in the wild like that.

The young are chased away from the oldest and strongest animal of the herd.Happy Valentine’s Day.

This just might be my favorite Calvin and Hobbes strip!

I tend to agree with Dad. I my experience, the best thing I ever did for myself as well as my children was to not have them…

I like the two completely diffferent perspectives from the same nature show.

My folks would have loved it if I had watched more educational stuff. They thought my favorite programs were too violent (n’yuk n’yuk n’yuk)

Our Moms might be related. Mine didn’t want us to watch “You Bet Your Life”, because Groucho was, “Too suggestive.”.

The contrast in thoughts in that last panel was striking.

I’m with dad.

My Mom might say that it’s good I reproduced so she could get her karma.

If it keeps snowing here – we may need to borrow that toboggan.

Uh oh. I seem to have entered the dreaded “becoming food for something else” phase of my existence.

I can see why Calvin’s Dad rarely gives a straight answer. I first ran away from home when I was five – for a few hours. I realized I needed a better plan. At 17, I “ran away” to a military academy. It wasn’t what I wanted but it was a step in the right direction – away.

When my pets die I put them out in the field and let them become a buffet. When I see vultures surfing the wind waves it always reminds me of my fur buddies and makes me smile. Better that than thinking of them in a dirt pit as a maggot buffet.

“I THINK IT’S GOOD THAT EVERYONE BECOMES FOOD.”

I have followed C&H forever and obtained and read the full book edition. That phrase sticks out over everything else Bill Watterson wrote. It instantly triggered the same good feeling as years ago.

I’m going to have to start commenting more in here.

An important suggestion to GoComics is tomorrow. Be prepared.

These are truth sermons given by a saint not from the tv I suppose. I wonder when NG started beaming such programs.
