Sadly, in this day and age, somebody would take a video of her grabbing him like that, and it would go viral on YouTube. Thousands of people would call her names, threatening her with violence and even death. And, in the end, she’d probably lose her job.

I love the way Miss Wormwood is drawn. She is everybody’s grandmother. We assume that she has been doing this (teaching) for decades. She has seen it all, including Calvin. She is imperturbable, implacable, and steadfast.

Horrible teacher!!

She is legally responsible for his safety.

Whatever Ms. Wormwood gets paid, it’s not enough.
