Calvin’s polls are usually amusing, but this one is really funny. At least Mom plans to keep Dad on instead of a new running mate. As Bill Watterson says, you’ve got to have a sense of humor with a kid like Calvin, and the parents really show it here.
How is it that she ended up doing all the cooking anyhow? I never understood how roles in a household are so often automatically split based on gender, though it most happened in my marriage as well. My wife just assumed the jobs were hers and we never even talked about it. I pick up some of the load and everyone thinks I’m a great husband. She still does way more than half the work. I still don’t get it.
How come the TIgers of the household were not polled and just the 6-year-olds. I smell a rotten statistic poll! – oh, wait, I’m pretty sure this is how ALL polling is done anymore – js
Mom has rigged this poll alright. I see two candidates in the fray but one six year old as voter. Get ready to live on packaged meals as dad takes over mom.
No different than any other poll. They tell you what people who take polls think, sort of. Polls mean different things depending on how they are worded.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t count if there’s only one six year-old in the household, and he’s the one polling in the first place.

Calvin pays a rather left-handed compliment to Mom’s cooking.

“Mom” has a lot more power than “Dad”. Becoming “Dad” would be a demotion.
