What I, with my Scandinavian mind, don’t understand, is how an elderly couple hasn’t finished paying for their house ages ago? Did they suddenly decide to buy a huge mansion that the financial crisis took away from them? Maybe I should stop reading American comic strips!

tantebitte, they probably remortgaged the house to pay for all the “stuff.” Either way, i am so very, very tired of this awful series and Irving’s awful, awful family. Enough already.

Most men are Mamma’s boys…. and they just can’t tell their mom’s what to do. Remember the mom on everybody loves Raymond? She was based on Ray Romano’s mother… even when she was told exactly how they felt, she didn’t get it I think this strip is TOO close to real life !! (can you guess what MY mother-in-law is like yet? lol )

The only thing I can say for this story line, is that it is hard to imagine anyone having a worse MIL in real life.
