Maybe most mothers can’t. For Anne it’s meddling. I think Cathy and Irving got married in February just to make Mom’s eyes roll around like a slot machine. :-D

Morning Susan 3 minutes ahead of me. Hope YOU are cooler. I just did a weather check on NYC. Hot but not roasting. We’re a balmy 68 for now, high of 83 with rain later. We slept out again last night.

I haven’t thought about lightenup yet again today. I have however wondered if lightenup jr is okay with me being substitute adorable while she’s on vacation. What do you think Mom! — are YOU okay with me being substitute adorable for the week?

Thank goodness my mom didn’t ride me about getting married like Cathy’s mother does her. But then, I met my husband shortly before I turned 19 years old and we got married 9 days after my 20th birthday so I wasn’t really single long enough into “adulthood” for my mother to constantly bug me about pinning someone — anyone! — down to a July wedding date either!

Aaron! “Substitute” adorable? And only for a week? Never!!!!! You’re absolutely adorable ALL the time!!!!!!!!!! While I enjoy all the camaraderie we “Cathy fanatics” share here . . . your (and Dr. Billy’s) funny comments from a man’s perspective where our favorite little nut job is concerned is what really brings me here every single day I can be here . . . and what keeps me coming back for more!!!!! A day without the both of you commenting here and saying HI MOM! just to me is like a day without sunshine so thanks for doing that!!! You’ll never know how much I truly appreciate it! Hope you’re all having a wonderful time in NH!!!

Good afternoon, Hobbes (if you should happen to drop by), Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, Willi Nilli, mollie05 and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here today. Great to “see” you all! Hope everyone’s finding a way to keep cool in this monstrous heatwave a lot of us seem to be experiencing these days!

Under the circumstances of Aaron and me, Mom was spared from having to spend her life in this or any other matrimonial pursuits. Aaron came to us in times so sad that Mom, and Dad too, bless his fine heart, forgave us for wanting to be together. I figure Anne would roll her eyes at us but I guess fair is fair. :-D

Aaron is now going around the house saying “I are adorable”. Mom kissed him and agreed. Dad and I know the source for that and will just ignore him until he goes away. Little Muttley Beagle is rolling his eyes and trying to cough up a fur ball. Sigh. Life as usual in our little household. So, thanks for that Mom!. Geez. :-D

You Cathyites might not remember when Cathy saw a picture of her mother when she was the age Cathy is, all ready married with a 7 year old Cathy. Mom just wants to be a grand mother all ready.

Give it time, Anne. Give it time …

Easier said than done for her, I know, but still.

Cathy and her mom are in the classic mode of Please get married!!! While Moms have been doing this for centuries, it is now in this day and age of marriage and 50% divorce rate, kind of a scary thought for most people. Been married and widowed myself I don’t feel the need for a piece of paper anymore, but a partner to share life with would be nice!!

Hi to all of us cathy nuts out there am & pm.Hi Aaron & Billy & LMB Aaron you are very adorable.I sometimes wish my mom would not have died when i was a little girl to know what it would of felt like for to try to get me married off. <3 : (
