Gretchen’s mom – A number of years ago when “IBM compatible” computers were replacing Atari and Commodore ones, my husband was getting an IBM compat for Xmas. He had asked me to get him a James Bond game for his Commodore. I went to a chain computer game store and asked for the program for Commodore. They did not have it. So I asked if they had it for the IBM compat. I was told that they did, but it would not run on the Commodore, with that look of old person (maybe in my late early 40’s then) they don’t know anything about computers, especially old women. I looked the guy, probably in his 20’s, in the eye and said to him "I have been programming computers, including mainframes since before you were born. Obviously it will be used on our IBM instead of our Commodore!
