I also agree with you and locake… my hubby always buys his own tech gadgets and likes to pick out most everything else he wants. I got him a watch case for his birthday (at the end of June), but gave it to him today, knowing that he’ll probably exchange it. I didn’t want to give it to him at the end of June because we are leaving soon after for our move and this will give him more time to shop around. Sure enough, he asked if there was one that automatically winds watches. LOL
This is my 13th Father’s Day without my dad and I really miss him. But given that he was suffering here and I believe in the afterlife, I know without a doubt that he’s having a really wonderful, pain-free day today wherever he is — even though that means he’s celebrating it without me, my mom and my sister there with him. Someday though . . .
Meanwhile, Gretchen’s Dad got two Father’s Day cards — one from each of his girls — and I made his favorite homemade blueberry pancakes for breakfast this morning [they’re a real pain to make as they seem to dirty just about every dish in my kitchen but they’re well worth it because it’s a wonderful recipe I got from my late M-I-L] . . . and for dinner, my mother will be making his other favorite thing to eat: lasagna!!!!!
