Mom: When you were a baby, I fussed and worried over every tiny thing... when you were a little girl, I fussed and worried over every tiny thing... when you were a teenager, I fussed and worried over every tiny thing... now you're grown, married and completely on your own! And now... did you get enough lunch? Do you want a fluffier pillow? Let me warm up your coffee! Let me cut up some fresh fruit! Let me brush this little speck off your dress! Let's pull your hair back so we can see your pretty eyes! Dad: ... now she fusses and worries over every tiny thing! Cathy: I love you, Mom! Mom: ... oops! Someone needs a hankie!
While I do worry about my girls a lot, I hope to one day be more of a spectator, watching them live their own lives and worrying less (but still worrying about the big issues). I certainly can’t imagine worrying over any of the things that Cathy’s mom is worrying about in that second to last panel.
Hello Cathy friends and happy Sunday to everyone! Happy Mother’s Day to the moms out there! Have a wonderful day!
