Then: read the paper and called it a day. Now: "For more background, opinions, commentary, analysis, transcripts, and informational links, go to www. ..."

There was even a horror movie once where at the end it literally was, “to see what happens, go to www.—-” I can’t remember the name of the movie, but it’s considered one of the worst of all time. (Oh, and I believe that the site is now closed.)

Yup—this one’s a little too true. No one’s forcing us to go to the websites for more info, but how many of us can honestly resist every one?

I don’t pay any attention whatsoever to all that “For more info go to www…..” nonsense. If they REALLY wanted me to know something, then they should have gone ahead and told me when they first had my attention to begin with! My life is incredibly busy these days and I simply don’t have the time to do it even if I wanted to — which I don’t. My mother is moving here in approximately 3 weeks and will need help with all kinds of things when she does — from grocery shopping to finding new doctors. Then our part of the house needs a new paint job from top to bottom, new furniture still has to be bought, and my library / bonus room will be getting finished over the winter. Once that happens, I’ll be looking to spend more time there, reading and cross stitching, and less time online surfing the internet.
