I must be one of the weirdest wives in the world when it comes to Valentine’s Day. While I love chocolate, I’ve told my husband not to buy it for me (it’s bad for the waistline!). I love flowers. Roses are my favorite, of course. But I’ve told him not to buy them for me because it breaks my heart to watch them die. I’m not much of a jewelry wearer and thanks to him giving me some really nice things for every occasion in our much earlier years together, I’ve already got more than I really need anyhow so please, don’t give me anymore of it.
I’m really just a simple girl. All I ask for? A heartfelt card with a sweet line or two written in it, telling me how much he still loves me even after 30 years together (as any good husband should do! LOL!!!) and dinner out somewhere. Anywhere. It doesn’t even have to be fancy, let alone expensive. Taco Bell would be fine if that’s what he wanted to do. I don’t care. Just so long as it’s outside the house, the food is good, and someone other than me is preparing it and then cleaning it all up afterwards for a change! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone has/had a really nice day today! :-)
I’m with you Mom…card & dinner would be just fine…it just happens that there is a Folky Valentine folk music show with some of our favorite local performers too…so we’re going to that too.

Valentines day? Why? Just give your loved one a hug and a kiss and say ‘I still love you.’

Simple is relative, I suppose.
But, then, so are [eye-rolls]. Back to square one …
