If this were in England, you’d lose a lot more than ten pounds if you bought that.

If you can’t shrink it, just paint the house you have as pretty as you can and live in peace.

I had a roommate who worked out with a former Olympic track coach and ran miles every day. One day she was agitated, “I have to lose ten pounds.”

Since she was just on the good side of skinny, I told her, “You look great. Why would you want to lose ten pounds?”

“I have to lose ten pounds. I don’t care how I look.”

“You want to lose ten pounds and you don’t care how you look?”

    “Yes.”

I looked her right in the eye and said, “Cut off an arm.”

I did not hear anymore of that nonsense.

Look 10 lbs thinner? How is that tiny suit supposed to do that? It is much too small to hid a steel framed corset (or whale bone if you want historical accuracy). I don’t think spandex can squish the body enough for a 10 lb off look.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend everyone. We are off to London (the one in Ontario) so I can walk my older daughter down the aisle on Saturday. Really looking forward to it!

my mom is constantly attempting to lose weight, and i think it created a toxic environment as a kid and even when I was a healthy weight I always wanted to lose more. this came to a habit of not eating breakfast, having crackers for lunch, and only a few bites of dinner.

    Expectations? Through the roof.

Outcome: I’ll get back to ya.
