Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

I rented a room from a woman whose whole life appeared to be tax-deductible. She was a masseuse, studying to be a psychotherapist and started her own church for non-Catholic Mexican immigrants. She was audited twice with no problems. Her husband was amazed at her knowledge of the tax codes.
I did it! I stayed up late last night and did my taxes. I had to pay and they will probably bill me for a penalty. Not a happy night. As simple as my taxes are, it still took me several hours to do the fed and state forms, and I was exhausted.
MarshaOstroff I would gladly send you some of this rain. It turned to snow last night and stopped about 3 ours ago but not soon enough. The lake rose over a foot overnight so the crew was out this morning to remove everything from in front of the wall including some of the stone that was going to be used for backfill. Although the water is still a little way away from the wall the beach in front of it is so waterlogged the excavator had problems just moving. There is no way it is going to dry out – the clay under the sand is now clay soup – by Monday so we don’t know when and how we are going to get the stone in. We will probably have to wait until the lawn dries up and then transport the stone a bucketload at a time from our driveway since we cannot use the neighbour’s road to the beach any more. All we needed was one more dry day. Ah well, at least the blocks for the wall are in place and the waves will soon smooth out any tractor ruts left.
I’ve been doing my own taxes for years, starting with paper. Now I do them online…but then mine are pretty simple and I don’t try to deduct licorice or shoes! Lol!

Why does it have to be so hard?

Rather creative deductions there Cathy. Nice try.

I hope everyone is enjoying this fine Saturday.

Hey—worth a shot, comic Cathy.
And I’ll be happy to take that tub of licorice off your hands. Y’know, if you think it might make doing your taxes too complicated and all …
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
