Had a co-worker who printed hard copies of every email. Then made ink notations. Then sent the pages date-stamped to Filing. THEN responded the email as “completed”! Her desk was a mess, but she claimed it made her look busy and necessary!

All valid reasons for not being on a conference call. I never did like those. Not even fond of video conferences (like Zoom) either although it is easier to see body language if there is video.
Although there was open water a week ago there are a few ice fishing huts out on the lake now. They started appearing two days ago. I suspect there will be small villages by the end of the weekend. Me, I won’t even walk on the ice until it is over 2 feet thick – unless it is along the shore where the water never gets more than knee deep at this time of year. lightenup and JLChl – if you want to get rid of your snow we will take it. The thaw over Christmas took most of our snow away and the little we got since does not even cover the grass very well. With the cold days and even colder nights (-20C last night) the frost will penetrate deep into the ground without that nice insulating cover of snow.
