Woman: And how many in your party? Coach Tippit: Seventeen. It's a 2-hour wait. Father: Two hours! That's ridiculous! How do they stay in business? Coach Tippit: I think these tournament weekends are unusual. Voice: Cindy - party of twenty-six.
I worked in a restaurant for 30 years…some days the place was near empty…other days, we also would have a long wait, but never 2 hours, more like 30 minutes. One July 4th, we were packed, and I had one “gentleman” bothering the hostess about how much longer…finally asked to see the manager, me that day. I told him that if he didn’t like the wait, he could always go find another restaurant, but he would probably waste the time looking and waiting elsewhere, and that it would be worth the wait to just be patient. He started telling me that I didn’t know how to manage properly, and that I should be fired. I told him that he could talk to the owners on the next business day, since they took the holiday off…in the meantime, he probably should go elsewhere to eat, and that we would be fine without his business.

“How do they stay in business?”
If there’s a two-hour wait, they’re not lacking for customers.

Bad planning…….

Well that’s a stupid question. If they are on a two hour wait it means they literally have more business than they can handle.
