Judging by the “stellar” work by the “regular” officials on Thanksgiving day, I think I would rather have the replacements back. At least they had an excuse.
I think it comes under assisting the ball carrier rule. At one time, they actually equipped the quarterback with handles and threw him over the line – thus the rule permitting blocking, but not moving the carrier directly.

Must be a Tech school, putting one of those “basic machines” to use……I think they need to adjust the fulcrum point a little, though.

If its not in the rule book, then its not against the rules. So expect helmets with a sharp horn attached to it, to make its debut
