I hope that tree is growing in their back yard - or itā€™s a long way to go on Christmas morning to unwrap their gifts!

Lio is happy. Dad is accepting. And he has re-holstered his axe. Life is good. Merry Christmas!

Wow, great idea Dad. I could use a hide away axe like that sometimes in my neighborhood. That would make an impression.

Iā€™m Proud of Lio! We MUST stop the heinous actsā€¦ of Christmas tree zombie! We cut them down then take the treeā€™s to our lairā€¦ and keep them alive to slowly DIE!!!

Just kidding, But if you think about it, that is what they are, Tree Zombies.

Dad must be an immortal, I donā€™t know of anyone else who can keep a giant weapon in his coat with no noticeable bulge.

Trees are innocent. The neighbors usually have it coming.

In the immortal words of Steve Martin:

ā€œChristmas isā€¦a time for cutting down trees, and hanging plastic doo-dads on them, and watching them die, slowly, in your living room, and catch fire, and burn down your house, and all your possessions.ā€

where did they have those ornaments?

I think lioā€™s idea is good, leave the tree in the forest.

    Woodsman, spare that tree!

Everyone ought to know you don;t chop down a Christmas tree - you saw it down!

Better living through artificial Christmas trees - they keep the plastic bag population in check.

Awwā€¦ Lio is a true friend to trees everywhere.

Personally I like the tabletop variety that you get in a pot. Admittedly the ornaments have to be very small. ;)

Maybe Lio knows how to make ā€œhammerspaceā€ jackets that can conceal objects of any size, and gave Dad one for his birthday. It would explain how Lio carried that box of ornaments without crushing them.

Gweedo Year, I did that one year. Had to dig the hole in November before the ground froze and store the soil in the garage. Then I could only have the tree inside for 5 days so it would stay hardened off. Great idea!

If Clark Griswold had thought of this, he wouldnā€™t have had to uproot his tree when he forgot his saw.

Next year; a fine mesh of almost invisible fishing line, with ornaments etc. all over it. Just take it out of the box and wrap it around the tree. Leave a little space in the ā€˜backā€™ for the squirrels and birds to get in and out (trees, birds and squirrels are all part on one organism).
