What are you complaining about? Birds eat flies.

What do you expect, Shoe, you’re dining al fresco.

Some birds eat flies.

YEAH!! BUT THEY KEEP COMING BACK,TO EAT THERE….RONNIE

Shoe should be glad they’re only flies and not mosquitoes.

I don’t mind cigars too much, but I draw the line at flies.

Actually, flies don’t like honey (ants and other bugs do). Flies like rotting meat where they can lay eggs to hatch into little maggots. Flowers that are pollinated by flies (e.g. tulips) smell like rotten meat.

…So much for tip-toe’ing through the tulips! I guess that DOES sound better than “Tip Toe, through the maggot nurseries…” however.

The Diner doesn’t need flies, the cigar should help keep them away and what Shoe needs is another local diner to compete with Roz’s so that the quality goes up and the prices stay reasonable.

It also helps with line drives and ground balls.

@Fish Stix: that cigar would keep everyone away! (and seems to be doing a good job of it.)

seeing as how Shoe is a purple martin, skeeters woould be more in line with his tastes.

So Shoe turns around and yells…”Hey Honey, get in here and catch these flies, will ya?”

Flies will land on dog poop. I have seen them do that.
