For some people, football is for the birds.

Maybe they’re upset about their name being used.

    EMET

It was more or less a rating of my comment (Z-). I was thinking along the lines of the use of Seminols & Redskins Etc. What we were to expand that to Orioles, Cardinals, Ravens etc. I still have Hitchcock’s the Birds fresh in my memory.

Thanks, but I think I’ll stick with the sinking ship until the bitter end.

I might jump on the Saints bandwagon though…the Boys are due to lose to them next. Wouldn’t it be something if we could see a battle of undefeateds in the Superbowl?

I wonder if it has to do with the old fashioned type astro turf carpet. All kinds of nasty things and disease could be growing in there

Is Alfred Hitchcock the bird wrangler?

EMET Well that comes off as rather emphatic. No wiggle room there, is there?

Well the Vikes and Saints are already in, but I can’t see the Cowboys winning more than 1 (they’re completely psyched out), while the Pack should win at least 2 of 3 and make it to the playoffs. The Eagles will win the division, while the Giants should take the other wild card.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Phillips is the next to get fired.

with the bird on top of the helmet, the players might be inclined to tuck their head when going for a tackle

If the birds rose up to “bomb” the opposition, it would be a distraction…
