Wish my mom would even talk to me. I’d rather have a “smother mother” than a mom who couldn’t care less.

Good thing I love my mother-in-law!

That’s a shame, LibrarianInTraining… sometimes family ends up not being the ones connected by blood. That’s good you have a great MIL!

Soup and tape. That’s all anyone needs.

She can use some tape on the inlaws. Tape the hands together behind their backs. Tape the ankles together. Tape the wrists to the ankles, also from behind. Tape up their mouths. Stick a bow on the tape over their mouths and stick them under the tree. What a present! Then you can eat your soup in peace. Then when they wilt, you toss them out on the curb with the live tree you wasted, and get a divorce from your loser husband.

My ex’s family was really horrible. There were many times I would have liked nothing more than to toss them out on the curb with the tree.

Up til she passed away 2 years ago, my husband’s mother was the best grandma to my son & more like a mother than just a MIL to me.
