Wonderful cliches, compliments, gags galore! And I’m so glad someone was so offended by this rude cartoon, they tagged it with a “bad pun alert,” even though it’s not really a pun. Yeeehaw!

Okay, here’s the deal. Worms have to play their cards in mid-air because they have no arms. And, yes, Doc, it is tequila, the preferred drink of worms the world over. Sorry I couldn’t make the label more readable - too small. SnowDawn - all my worm friends have teeth - and some wear glasses just to be cool.

OK, Chief Thom Thom I’ll fess up. The tag “bad pun alert” is wholly mine, and I’ve been using it on quite a few strips for quite a while. And for the record, the tag isn’t a sign of offense. :))

You sure it’s not a pun anyway? “Gone fishin’” versus “go fish” in a card game versus “gone fishin’” as an activity in lieu of a card game? If that’s not a pun, then what is it?
